peru part 1
in october last year i went a week (how sad does it sound?) to peru. i could swear that during/after that week i could kill any latin@. and besides it was the worst travel of my life. since that i swear that i will never be travelling with iberia. ever. again. i swear i could die.

it all began with a discussion with my boyfriend before leaving the apartment. so far so good. we went to the airport. so the lady tells us that we will not be able to sit next to each other from barcelona-madrid-ecuador. what do i do? i start crying. she said that we didn't check in from home. how can i do that if it won't let me do it in the internet. and we had made seat reservation but apparently this wasn't enough for iberia. so what's next? passing through the security control, crying and with an annoyed boyfriend i wasn't sure how this would end. i tried, so naive i am, to think positive. with the thought of things would end great. but no, this wasn't the end.
well, luckily there was some nice people on the plane who wanted to change seats with us. barcelona-madrid-ecuador.
hours later we were in quito, ecuador. i've never seen a more boring airport (so i thought) in my entire life. i thought that things were over. till they call my boyfriend's name in the speaker. he has to go with the guards and check the suitcases. so i was alone for about 30 minutes, then he came back: your suitcase cannot be opened. so, they weren't checking up on him. but on ME. (they did this twice). I don't know, but those guards in the airport make me nervouse as ****.
so then we finally have to board the plane from quito, ecuador to lima, peru. i think to fly with lan chile, has been giving the same experience as flying with iberia. i swear that i won't do it again. how can it be possible that there is no more space for your handluggage on the plane? so the "nice" lady takes my handluggage. ask my name, but clearly doesn't listen. and i'm like: ****.
during this my boyfriend and i had discussions like five times already. pretty much it went like this: if we weren´t asleep, we were discussing. ha ha.

well, we arrived. to get our suitcases went surprisingly fast. do we have some problems with that in europe?? then my boyfriend informs me, they'll come and check you and your suitcase. just show the paper and that's it. again. i was nervous like ****. i only go to the toilet in a plane very few times. i don't like it. really. so when we arrived, i needed to go to the bathroom in the airport, before grabbing a cab to the busstation. you have to line up to buy toilet paper. WTF?! and then i had this awkward feeling. i just must comment this: my boyfriend is peruvian. so basically he looks like the rest of the people in the airport. just imagine. an entire airport filled up with people who are almost impossible to spot the difference. the frecuent question i've been asked that week were where i was from. people starring at me. awkwrd.

so we've been told back in spain that we would be able to go from lima to trujillo in a bus. when we arrive almost everything was closed. luckily we found one. to our regret. 10 hours in the most smelly bus you could ever imagine.
